HUDREDS of people gathered across the county on the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month to mark Armistice Day.
A bugle played to mark the start of a two-minute silence when the centre of Hereford became silent to remember the servicemen and women killed in battle.
Hundreds of people gathered around the city's war memorial in St Peter's Square for the two-minute silence at 11am.
Children from Lord Scudamore Primary School were once again invited to lay three wreaths on the memorial- one for each of the classes.
Mayor of Hereford Jim Kenyon led the mayoral party up St Owens Street before members also gathered around the memorial.
Following the two-minute silence the Lord's Prayer was said before the wreaths were laid.
Similar events took place in Leominster, Ross-on-Wye and Bromyard
