RETIRING Hereford Rowing Club captain Hayley Birch says she is proud that every competitive junior has achieved a win this season.
Birch has stepped down following two years in the role, with Stuart stepping into her shoes.
"I worked very closely with the coaches before my captaincy to bring new juniors in, and our hard work is paying off," said Birch.
"I am also pleased with how our close network between local clubs – Ross, Worcester, Monmouth and Bristol has increased."
Birch joined the rowing club ten years ago, but stopped rowing three years ago.
"The rowing club will always be a major part of my life as my family row competitively," added Birch.
"I am glad that Stuart Rowney, who has been my sub-captain for the last two years, is standing for captain this year.
"I know him and his team will continue to take the club forward."
"Our junior squad has a waiting list and is only taking years seven to eight on at present.
"But we run adult learn to row courses twice a year."
