RESIDENTS who are fed up of parking problems in south Hereford are being urged to attend a public meeting next month to challenge those in charge of restriction schemes.

Councillor Chris Chappell has called the meeting after receiving more complaints about car parking than any other issue from his Hinton and Hunderton constituents.

The meeting is to be held on June 13 between 6pm and 8pm at Hinton Community Centre.

“It's unacceptable that residents are unable to park their cars outside their homes," said Cllr Chappell.

"The elderly, mothers with pushchairs and the disabled are often having to park several hundred yards from their homes because car owners are too lazy to drive to car parks.

"This needs to be addressed.

"I have organised a meeting for South Wye residents to hear from the people who make decisions about parking regulations.

"I hope everyone with a parking problem in South Wye will attend.”
