A SPECIALIST plant nursery has taken home a gold from the RHS Malvern Spring Show ahead of showing a garden at Chelsea.
Peter Dowle and Richard Jasper from Howle Hill Nursery near Ross-on-Wye won gold for their garden, Reflections of Japan.
The nursery is now project managing a garden at the Chelsea Flower Show for beauty company, L'Occitane.
Regarding his win at the Three Counties Showground, Mr Dowle said: "We are flying the flag for Herefordshire. It is a great thing from that perspective. "With the Three Counties it is increasing and increasing in its popularity. It is definitely one of the rising stars of the garden show market."
Mr Dowle designed the garden based on a Japanese garden.
He said: "When you have a showground as stunning as the Three Counties with the rolling hills used as part of your display it is a real privilege."
Mr Dowle and the Howle Hill Nursery team have been awarded
ten gold medals at Chelsea Flower Show, most recently for Perfumers Garden Chelsea 2015.
His younger brother, Christian, who runs a gardening business in Colwall, won best festival garden for his garden, The Water Spout, at The Malvern Spring Show.
Eardisley Church of England Primary was awarded a Commended and runners up in the Best Project Management Category.
