A 62-year-old Herefordshire man is facing a long jail sentence after he pleaded guilty to rape and other sex offences against two girls dating back 15 years.
Philip Green, of Penyard Gardens, Weston-under-Penyard, Ross-on-Wye, pleaded guilty to four counts of rape of one of the girls between 2000 and 2006, when she was aged between seven and 11.
He also pleaded guilty at Worcester Crown Court to indecently assaulting the same girl between the same dates and sexually assaulting another girl and causing or inciting her to engage in sexual activity between 2007 and 2009 when she was aged eight or nine.
He entered the guilty pleas ahead of a trial which had been due to start on March 14.
Recorder Denis Desmond told Green he was facing a substantial jail term.
He said: "You will be going to prison. The only question is how long."
Sarah Jenkins, defending, told the court Green had already served two sentences, one of two years and one of 30 months, for sex offences against other girls.
Green was further remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced on March 24. From the dock, he asked the court if he could appear by video link from prison but Recorder Desmond ordered that he should be produced in court to face his sentence.
