SMOKE plumes could be seen above the Black Mountains this evening after a grass fire across the county border.
Firefighters, including a crew from Ewyas Harold, were called at around 5.20pm after four hectares of fern, gorse and undergrowth were involved in a fire in Llanthony.
The smoke could be seen from as far away as Hereford as crews worked to bring the fire under control.
