ORCOP has followed in other villages' footsteps and turned its red phone box into a library.
The village's parish council bought the phone box from BT for £1 and have filled it with books for people to share in the village.
David Harlow, county councillor for the Birch ward, attended the launch.
He said: “I am delighted to open the Orcop library which is already being well used by members of the local community.
"Thanks must go to Margaret and Graham Bowen, along with Dot and Barry Shaw for their hard work in turning this dream into a reality.
"This project, together with the OWL Good Neighbour Scheme being launched in the parishes of Orcop, St Weonards and Llanwarne, initiated by Jane Rigler, shows that community spirit isn’t just surviving but is thriving in this quiet corner of rural Herefordshire.”
Welsh Newton, Llangrove and Bodenham have also turned their defunct boxes into libraries.
