ON the weekend of December 11 and 12 members of the Rotary Club of Knighton and District spent time at Harry Tuffin stores in Knighton and in the indoor market in Presteigne collecting for charity. During this time they collected over £400 all of which is to be distributed between the Wales Air Ambulance, Midland Air Ambulance, KINDA (Knighton Initiative for Dementia Awareness) and Presteigne and Norton Community Support charities. Rotary president Dorothy Scott said " We are so very appreciative of the generosity of those shoppers in Presteigne and Knighton, especially at a time when money is so tight for so many people. The Rotary Club of Knighton and District has strong connections to our communities and the support we receive from the community makes our work much easier."
