PARENTS campaigning against the planned closure of a respite centre in Hereford have taken their fight to a city supermarket.
Shoppers visiting the Tesco store in Belmont on Saturday were greeted by those unhappy with the future for No 1 Ledbury Road which offers respite care to children and young adults with complex health needs.
It will close next March in favour of a community foster service plan.
Parents of youngsters currently attending the service collected more than 250 signatures from shoppers.
The closure decision has angered some of the parents who say they weren't consulted, adding the foster idea is not suitable and won't work.
