APPLICATIONS can now be made for places at the county's secondary schools.
Herefordshire Council’s secondary school admission process opened on Tuesday.
It is for applications to all secondary schools across Herefordshire for children turning 12 years old between September 2016 and August 2017 who will be moving from year six into year seven.
Changes to Herefordshire Council's school transport policy apply from this month, with pupils entitled to free travel to their nearest school only and not their catchment school.
Applications can be made online at herefordshire.gov.uk/school-admissions
Parents and carers who are unable to apply online can fill in a paper application form which can be requested from the council’s school admissions team on 01432 260925 or schooladmissions@herefordshire.gov.uk.
The closing date for all secondary school applications is midnight on Saturday October 31.
Late applications could result in not being offered a place in a preferred school.
