ONE woman has combined a passion for vintage vehicles and tea to launch a new business.

Stephanie Best, husband Wayne and much-loved dog, Bella, welcomed the latest addition to the family last year – a classic 1968 Sprite Alpine caravan.

Lovingly restored and refurbished in a modern vintage style, Molly, the name given to the caravan, has since made her debut as a pop-up tea room and is now available for events around the county.

Mrs Best, who lives in Wellington, explained: "We bought the caravan last year and we always planned to have it as a vintage caravan for us to go on holiday in. I'm a piano and singing teacher and decided I wanted to do something else alongside music and have always been very much into old-fashioned things and have lots of vintage china.

"We used to have a vintage car company so have always had classic vehicles and vintage caravans. My parents had the same caravan in the 1970s so it took me back to my childhood."

Mrs Best can take Molly's Vintage Caravan to a variety of events and parties and serves a selection of drinks, teas and sweet treats, cooked by her mother, Christine Price.

"It's nice to be able to do an event where we are taking part in somebody's special day and we can add to that and it's lovely," she added.

Mrs Best and her husband are also looking to track down a classic car they once owned as part of their wedding car company.

It is a brown 1972 Rover P6 with the number plate DDF818L and is believed to be off the road at the moment.

"The chap we sold it to had it for a year and he sold it to a man who lived in Kington. That's the last we have heard of it," added Mrs Best. "We would love to buy it back."
