THE brother of Hereford murder victim Christian Bagley says he has been inundated with messages of support.

Wayne Wood says people he doesn't even know have contacted him through social media to express their sadness over the death of the father-of-one who was fatally stabbed on the evening of June 21.

Three men have been arrested over the death but all have since been released without charge.

"There has been a lot of support from people on Facebook," said Mr Wood.

"I've had messages from people I don't even know.

"Everyone has been offering their help and support, but it doesn't change how you feel."

Mr Wood said he hopes his brother's killer is caught, but says any conviction won't bring Mr Bagley back.

Daniel Powell, a cousin of Mr Bagley, appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

"Someone out there knows something," said Mr Powell.

"It must have been playing on someone's conscience.

"We're not very hopeful they will catch them though, which isn't a nice feeling."

Mr Bagley was killed after visiting his young daughter, Lara, on Father's Day.

The 30-year-old former Haywood School pupil had worked as a chef at the Booth Hall. He was living at the time with Mr Wood in Friars Street.

Mr Wood described his brother as a man who was close to his friends and family, adding he enjoyed playing and following sport.

"He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family," he said.

"He also liked to play poker and golf, and was a football fan, supporting Liverpool."

He said those attending his funeral - which the family haven't as yet been able to arrange because of the police investigation - will be invited to wear red and white, the colours of the Anfield club.

Anyone with information can call police on the non-emergency 101 number.
