AWARD-winning author Elizabeth Chadwick is coming to Hereford library on Friday, May 15 to sign copies of her books as part of The Herefordshire Libraries Book Festival.

Elizabeth has written more than 20 novels and she is currently considered to be one of the best writers of medieval fiction. She is well known for the huge amount of research she does for her stories to make them historically accurate. Her recent books are a series about Eleanor of Aquitaine, arguably the most powerful woman in Europe during the Middle Ages: Summer Queen and Winter Crown are great reads and are available from the library. Waterstones will provide copies of her books for sale on the day and she will be happy to sign them and chat to people about her work.

On Saturday, May 16, Elizabeth will be talking at The Mortimer History Society Conference at the Hereford Academy on Marlbrook Road. Her talk is entitled King John and William Marshall and is part of the conference - Law and Order in Medieval England.
