PUPILS at a Leominster school raised £1,000 for charity after taking part in a 'lent enterprise challenge'.
All year-10 students at Earl Mortimer College took part in the annual challenge which saw them attempt to raise the most cash in their tutor groups.
A total of £1,000 will be sent to Cancer Research UK – the charity chosen by the winning tutor group.
Students held cake sales, made pen holders, sold food and drinks to tempt cash out of pockets.
The winning group raised £504.48 after taking the fundraiser to the community and organising a coffee morning.
Rosie Joules, who set the Enterprise Challenge as part of the Skills 4 Life curriculum, said: "Every pound raised is valuable as it will all go towards a very worthwhile charity.
"So, a heartfelt thanks to all year-10 pupils at EMC, who have helped make the Lent Enterprise Challenge such a success."
