STAFF at Hereford’s Sainsbury’s store have helped out a colleague whose son has epilepsy.
The Barton Road store held a tombola, cake stall and raffle to raise more than £400 on Epilepsy Awareness Day.
The fundraising for Epilepsy Awareness came about after supermarket employee Sheila Hughes spoke out about, what she perceives as, a lack of support available in Herefordshire for her son Tom.
Sue Davies, PR Ambassador at the store, said: “There were a lot of relatives of people who had epilepsy there to support the event and share advice.
“Tom’s epilepsy is quite severe. I honestly don’t know why there isn’t more support.”
