HUGH Cornwell, original guitarist, singer and principal songwriter with The Stranglers, is one of the UK's finest songwriting talents and most accomplished live performers. Renowned for his music -No More Heroes, Golden Brown, Always the Sun and Duchess among his greatest hits- his writing talents extend beyond music, and he has recently published his second novel, Arnold Drive.

Nothing much has ever happened to Rev Arnold Drive, the meekly quiet vicar of St Tobias. Feeling safe only within the walls of his church and the gentle rules of his faith, Arnold is ironically a man utterly without drive; a man content that nothing much ever happens. Nothing, that is, until the day his church is sold off to property developers.

Hugh will talk about his novel at Rossiter Books in Ross-on-Wye on Wednesday, March 11 at 7pm. Tickets for the talk and book signing can be purchased from Rossiter Books in Ross 01989 564464 or Monmouth 01600 775572 and cost £3 each. This ticket price can be redeemed against purchase of the book at the event.
