A DRINK driver has been fined £240 and banned from the road for 17 months.

Matthew Stack, 27, of Buckfield Road, Leominster was breathalysed on December 27 at 2am.

The reading taken in Ryelands Road, Leominster, revealed he had 62mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath- the legal limit is 35mg.

He admitted drink driving at Hereford Magistrates Court last week and was fined £240, ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs and a £24 victim surcharge.

He was disqualified from driving for 17 months, which can be reduced by four months if he takes a drink drive rehabilitation course.
