LEOMINSTER residents helped to raise more than £20,000 in this year's Poppy Appeal.
The annual collection, organised by the Royal British Legion (RBL), helps those in the armed forces and their families – whether coping with bereavement, living with disability, or finding employment.
The total is a record amount for the Leominster area and Frank Low, chairman of the town's RBL branch , thanked volunteer poppy sellers, shops, supermarkets and RBL committee members for their support.
