THE popularity of a Christmas concert at a historic castle has prompted another date to be added.
The Roaring Megs will now perform at Goodrich Castle near Ross on December 11 as well as the 12th.
There are more than 40 singers from across Herefordshire who will perform a suite of carols before asking the audience to join them.
The group take their name from Roaring Meg- the mortar which ultimately ruined Goodrich in the Civil War – and can still be seen in the castle grounds today.
Tickets to the candlelit concerts, which are 7 to 9pm, are £8.50 for adults (£6 for English Heritage members) and £5.10 for children (£3.60 for members) from 0870 3331183.
