TOP RIDERS, including Royal Olympian Zara Phillips, are expected at the Homme House Horse Trials in Much Marcle.
This year the trials will take place on Tuesday August 5 and Wednesday August 6, and organisers are promising a starry line-up of big names in the saddle.
These include Zara Phillips and the international Team GB rider Harry Mead.
Event spokesperson, James Bisset said: "Why not come along to walk among and watch all the riders as they compete in the Dressage and Show Jumping; or follow them around the Cross Country course that flows through the picturesque parkland of Homme House?"
Admission will be free, although a donation to St. James City Farm, Gloucester, will be encouraged.
The gates will open at 9.30am each day and the action will continue to
around 5pm.
Mr Bisset said: "There are trade stands to browse amongst and refreshments
available or bring your own picnic. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a
short lead at all times.
"There are two new awards this year; the Distinctly Splendid trophy for the best
placed under?18 in the Novice section and the Sheila Berry Memorial trophy for
the best mare in the Novice and Open Novice sections."
Homme House Horse Trials can be found in Much Marcle, off the A449 Ledbury to
Ross road.
