MORE than £300 was raised for Ross-on-Wye's food larder at the town's Sainsbury's store.
The project aims to help people who find themselves in financial hardship by asking people to donate food and other items.
The larder will now be permanently based at Sainsbury's.
“We are very grateful to Ross Lions and Sainsbury’s Ross for supporting this project, and hope that this new site will be a convenient way for local people to donate non perishable food items and toiletries whenever they can," said organiser Jill Talbot-Ponsonby.
The larder is open every Friday from 10am to noon and works on a voucher system.
These are available from agencies throughout the town, including Age UK, Job Centre Plus and the Children's Centre.
