Cows rescued in Herefordshire

Hereford Times: Two cows were rescued from rivers in Herefordshire over the weekend. Two cows were rescued from rivers in Herefordshire over the weekend.

FIREFIGHTERS had to rescue two cows who had fallen into water over the weekend.

Crews were first called to Wergins Bridge, near Sutton Nicholas, shortly before 7.50pm on Friday.

The cow was rescued by animal and water rescue teams, a vet and the owner.

Firefighters were then called to the River Wye at Huntsham Bridge in Goodrich shortly before 10.05am on Sunday.

However, the injured cow managed to rescue itself.
