ST Mary Magdalene Church at Stretton Sugwas staged a three-day flower festival based on the theme ‘The Year of the Church.’

Flower arrangers had perfectly captured the key events celebrated throughout the year with the local Brownies and Guides creating arrangements for Advent in the Lyche Gate and Christmas in the porch.

The festival also included several events staged in the village hall. Organiser Shirley Williams, the church warden, said “The weather was fine and we had a wonderful turnout over the three days. The flower displays were simply stunning.”
