HEREFORD Chamber Choir sang Fauré's Requiem on May 9, in aid of the Friends of Hereford Cathedral. They were accompanied by the Academia Musica Orchestra from Hereford Sixth Form College and directed by Stephen Gowland. Bronwen Wilkins played Handel's Concerto for Harp in Bb Op 4 Nº 6. The choir also sang reflective pieces by Ralph Vaughan-Williams and Stephen Chatman together with lighter music by Orlando di Lasso. Handel's music was again referenced at the end of the evening in the jolly Old Mother Hubbard by Victor Hely-Hutchinson.
