IT'S been another successful year for the John Kyrle boys' football teams who have all finished strongly in their respective competitions.
The Year 10 team finished in third place in what proved to be a highly competitive league, where all games were very tightly contested. Faring even better, the Year 9 team came top of their league and also played a closely fought semi-final, eventually losing to the competition winners, Whitecross 3-1. Pride of place, however, must go to the Year 8 team who won their group, the semi-final against Leominster and then triumphed, to lift the cup by beating a very strong Weobley team 2-0.
Many congratulations to all the players and special thanks to Mr Goodhall and Mr Bevan, coaches of the victorious Year 8 team.
