ANYONE who likes something a bit hot is being encouraged to visit Eastnor Castle.

More than 50 stalls will be on show at the Chilli Festival on Sunday, May 4 and Bank Holiday Monday, May 5.

Visitors will have the chance to sample chocolate, bread, cake, vodka, cocktails and chutney, as well as growing their own chilli plants.

"We are really thrilled with the success of our chilli festival and it has gained a huge following," said David Littlewood, general manager at Eastnor Castle.

"The Clifton Chilli Club is back by popular demand this year, hosting the chilli eating competition for anyone brave enough to join in.

"Our head groundsman Nick Robinson, who grows his own chillies, will be taking part in the competition to see if he can better his third place last year."

Thai chef Suree Coates will also be demonstrating her authentic cookery skills and Marina Ibrahim will be showing visitors how to make Egyptian mezze. Mexican band Los Squideros, from Hereford, will be performing, with support from One Island Steel Band and Basha Beats Samba Band.

The festival will be open from 11am to 5pm on both days.

Tickets are £10 for adults, £9 for seniors and £6.50 for children, with a family ticket costing £26.50.
