PEOPLE in Ross-on-Wye are encouraged to find out more about the town's emblem - the hedgehog.

A number of activities will take place from Saturday, April 26 to Sunday, May 18.

Authors and illustrators Petr Horacek and Lizzie Harper will be taking part in the event, as well as Alan the Hedgehog.

There will also be hedgehog experts on hand to answer any of your questions.

One thing's for sure though. I wouldn't feed him bread and milk. I think he'd prefer cat food or slugs.
They sleep in the most unexpected places. I once found one sleeping with the wife. She said nothing had actually happened but I could see the bed was full of holes and the water leaking out where it's prickles had gone through.
I doubt it was Alan though as this was many years ago and they only live for 3 months.
