AYLESTONE hosted a singing strategy day recently attended by 260 pupils including key stage one and two pupils from St Martin’s, Our Lady’s, Lugwardine, Hampton Dean and Broadlands primary schools.
Sponsored by the Music Hub, the day brought together pupils to enjoy singing activities from simple call and response songs to complex three-part harmonies.
All the songs were around the theme of ‘water’ as part of the build-up to the River Festival in May. Pupils sang a Ghanaian world song and took part in percussion workshops.
The primary schools had a thoroughly enjoyable day and thanked Aylestone for hosting the event and their students for making them feel most welcome.
