AYLESTONE is proud to have hosted a visit from the International Values-Based Education Trust looking to learn how a values-based culture has successfully been embedded across the school.
More common in primary education, as a secondary school, Aylestone is paving the way in ensuring that the principles of values based education has a real impact on its students.
Dr Neil Hawkes, founder of Values-based Education, and his team were overwhelmed by the positive attitudes and relationships between staff and pupils, as well as the systems Aylestone has in place to ensure consistency and fairness.
They reported that one student told the team - “I love the lessons” and “everyone is nice to us” and they said, “We can’t ask for more than that!” Aylestone was re-awarded the Values Mark by the Trust.
