Hereford United due to announce new manager this morning

Hereford Times: Hereford United is due to announce its new manager this morning. Hereford United is due to announce its new manager this morning.

HEREFORD United are to announce its new manager this morning, the club has confirmed.

Martin Foyle and his assistant Andy Porter left the financially-stricken club yesterday.

The duo had been at the club for two seasons and led the Bulls to a very respectable sixth position last season.

But, this campaign has been a different story, with the Edgar Street club only sitting four points above the Skrill Premier relegation zone.

It is believed that chairman David Keyte had a crunch meeting with Martin Foyle yesterday following Tuesday night's 2-0 defeat at Wrexham.

In a post-match interview, Foyle claimed that some of the players were "not good enough" - adding that none of them would be at the club next season.

The threat of administration is also hanging over the Bulls after Monday night's AGM heard that the club made a lose of more than £528,000 for the past year.

A further loss of around £400,000 is also expected to be recorded for this year.

Darn.....think it was Bobby47 in a white dress, I thought he had stopped doing that!
so we are still deep in it!
best we go into administration and start again from scratch, go around some local business for sponsorship, take the cream of the crop from all the LOCAL football clubs and pay them each £50 a game upgraded to £100 if we win....I for one would pay £10 to watch that PLEASE bring back the passion to Eger Street!

Rubbish! Bobby47 has never worn a white dress - his granny's wardrobe only contained colourful haute couture - don't ask me how I know, please!
If only United had blooded the lads that did so well in the FA Youth Cup. They had real passion and would have run until they fell. But, how many of them would ever had been given a real chance?
Giving some of these players 10 or 15 minutes towards the end of a game was disappointing.
I have been supporting United for 56 years and I've never felt so despondent about their future.
I hope we can survive in some form.

I don't believe what Keyte says about the possibility of any outside investment.
If the club is losing money month on month cut things till it isn't.
Players, staff, facilities. Cut cut cut till the bleeding stops.

There's mention of the team going to Wrexham in the minibus and cars, not the usual team coach.
This is indicative of the club living beyond it's means.
A coach, to go 90 mins up the road?

I hope Keyte can get us out of this, but I don't hold out a lot of hope.
