VOLUNTEERS and staff at a Leominster charity which helps disabled people in the county have been busy building their skills at a training day.
More than 100 volunteers help service users of ECHO in a number of different activities – from assisting with cookery lessons to attending football matches.
The volunteers recently joined together for a training event in the John Abel room of Grange Court and catered for by Mi Enterprise – a community enterprise creating work for disabled adults.
Attendees were given presentations by Chris England from Herefordshire Heart Start, Amelia Quinlan from HVOSS and by The Ambassadors Trainers – an ECHO supported project offering training to improve confidence.
