A MEETING FOR residents to discuss parking in the Aylestone Hill area of Hereford will be held next Thursday (January 30).
Following concerns raised about the parking of vehicles in the area, including in Penn Grove Road, an area wide review of parking is being undertaken.
Options being considered include prohibiting parking and waiting in a number of local roads.
Aylestone ward councillor, Brian Wilcox, said: "Increased parking both (on Aylestone Hill) and in nearby side streets by commuters, students, city workers, visitors and others have caused problems to residents and road users alike. In Aylestone Hill, to avoid possible accidents, the police are taking short-term action to stop parking while the council introduces permanent controls in the area."
Residents' views are being sought and anyone wanting to attend the meeting can go to Brockington council chambers on Hafod Road between 6pm and 8pm.
