THE hotly tipped band, By the Rivers will be back at The Globe at Hay on Saturday, February 1, having gained an enthusiastic following in the area after performances at both Hay Fayre and HowTheLightGetsIn.
The Leicester lads play original British reggae tunes infused with upbeat pop and have wowed audiences across the world. Following a summer of non-stop festival performances they were named by the BBC and Glastonbury as ‘future stars of the Pyramid Stage’. A band on the up, they joined The Specials in 10,000 capacity venues on their tour in 2011, and have supported the likes of Madness, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Taurus Riley, John Holt, The Selector, Maxi Priest, The Beat and Dawn Penn to name a few.
By the Rivers are performing as part of the Shenanigans series of parties that has seen many goodtime, festival bands taking to the stage including Sheelanagig, Dub Mafia, Yes Sir Boss and Mr. Woodnote. Local favourite DJ Aubrey Fry supports.
