AN application to erect six broiler rearing units near Knapton Green has been submitted to Herefordshire Council.

Applicant, James Verdin, wants to erect the six units with associated control rooms, feed bins and harstanding along with a storage/boiler building on land west of the A4110 at Knapton Green.

The 12,344.1 square metre site is currently used as agricultural land but if plans are approved the broiler would rear day old chicks to finished table weight.
