A LARGE amount of cash was stolen from Belmont Lodge and Golf Club yesterday.
It is believed that the club was broken into via a back door in order to steal the safe, which was stored in a cupboard.
The safe was then discarded.
Anyone with information about the burglary, which happened between 12.30am and 6.45am, can call PC Dean Welton-Wall on 0300 333 3000, quoting reference 97-S- 270513.
