A CONTESTANT who wowed all the judges on singing show The Voice is to perform at Hereford nightclub Play tomorrow (Friday) night.

Karl Michael was seen on BBC1 last month belting out No More I Love Yous, which was first released by The Lower Speaks and later covered by Annie Lennox.

Karl, who decided to join Danny O’Donaghue’s team, was signed to Atlantic Records up until six months ago and once performed with Ed Sheeran.

Elsewhere at Play, Ian Davies will be presenting his video chart mixes tonight (Thursday), two rooms of music will be available on Saturday and DJ Unknown will be in the house on Sunday playing his R ’n’ B tunes.

The Jailhouse will be presenting drum and bass music tonight in the form of Danny Byrd and MC Dynamite.

Danny was one of the first drum and bass producers to sign for Hospital Records in 2000 and his track Red Mist VIP reached number one in the UK dance charts in 2009.

MC Dynamite, meanwhile, began his MC career on pirate radio station Crush FM and hosts a two-hour “Smooth Grooves”

show on Kiss 100 every Monday night.

Matthew Pritchard and Lee Dainton, part of stunt and prank TV series Dirty Sanchez will then be at the club on Saturday.

Hard house music will be the theme of the day at Fusion on Saturday where DJs will include Tidyboys, Darren Warren, Dave and Mickey Martin.

The club will also be hosting a “grab a grand” competition on the same night.

Saxtys, Mamma Jammas and Ajs will all be open throughout the weekend, while outside Hereford, Euphoria in Leominster will be entertaining revellers tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday and Charlie’s in Ross-on-Wye from tonight (Thursday).
