LEOMINSTER Priory is the setting for a concert of choral music by 20th century British composers this Sunday. Singing will be Crickhowell Choral Society under their conductor, Stephen Marshall, who was previously a member of Leominster Choral Society.
Entitled Canticles, the programme features the Magnificat - contrasting versions by two leading contemporary composers, John Rutter and James Macmillan.
Also included is the exciting Benedicite by Vaughan Williams, and a rarely-performed masterpiece, Elgar's Te Deum.
Admission is free for the 6.30pm concert, with a retiring collection for the Priory maintenance.
