A COMPLEMENTARY therapist was hugely surprised and excited to learn she had been invited to the Women of the Year lunch.
"It was lovely to be recognised in that way," says Susan Huntley-Copeman, who practises at the Hereford Centre for Natural Health and the Brecon Complementary Medicine Centre.
"And it's really great to be part of a celebration of women doing amazing things.
"There were some incredible people there, among them a Zimbabwean woman who had campaigned long and hard to get sanitary equipment for women in her country.
"It was an eye-opener to learn how hard she'd worked to get something we take for granted."
Susan, who graduated in herbal medicine in 2000, can be contacted at the Hereford Centre for Natural Health on 01432 342176.
