LYDE Court offers a unique opportunity to see the latest project from Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter Jacqui Dankworth and multitalented pianist/composer David Gordon on Friday, January 18.
Top jazz singer Jacqui leads this enchanting and magical acoustic ensemble in a programme of songs from across South America and Europe.
Under the direction of composer and pianist extraordinaire Dave Gordon, Butterfly’s Wing takes you on a kaleidoscopic musical journey that is as melodious as it is tender and beguiling.
There will be pre-show entertainment at 6pm when Steve Baker sings The Great American Song Book, and a pre-show meal (booking essential) at 7pm.
Jacqui is joined for Butterfly’s Wing by an all-star line-up including leading jazz violinist and unique improviser Chris Garrick, David Gordon and Ben Davis, whose group Basquiat Strings have been Mercury Prize nominated.
