MORE than £500,000 will be spent on improving the waste water network in a picturesque Herefordshire village.
Welsh Water says the investment in Pembridge will also bring environmental benefits to the village which is on the Black and White trail popular with tourists.
The scheme includes upgrading the waste network on Bridge Street between Parsons Walk and Curl View which will increase its capacity during wet weather.
Work will start on January 21 and is expected to take nine weeks to complete.
Bridge Street will be closed for three weeks between February 11 and March 1 while temporary traffic lights will be installed for the majority of the work.
Welsh Water’s capital delivery manager Martin Kilroy, said: “We will try to get the job completed as quickly as possible.”
