LOCAL theatre company Exit Fool Productions are back with Keith Waterhouse’s play, Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell.
Jeffrey Bernard was a British Journalist, best known for his weekly column, Low Life, in The Spectator magazine, and notorious for a feckless and chaotic career and life of alcohol abuse.
In two acts, Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell gives a taste of what life in Soho was like “when you could find yourself drunk, penniless and alone on less than a pound”.
Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell first graced the West End stage in 1989, with numerous British actors taking the role of Bernard, the columnist, gambler, womaniser and chronic drunk.
Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell will be at The Courtyard on Wednesday, May 20 and Friday, May 22 at 7.45pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
