THE Wye Theatre Company present Yazmina Reza's play, God of Carnage at The Powell Theatre in Church Street.
The play, translated by Christopher Hampton, premiered in the West End in 2008 and won both an Olivier for best new comedy in 2009 and a Tony for best new play the same year.
Two pairs of parents, one of whose children has hurt the other at a public park, meet to discuss the matter in a civilized manner. However, as the evening goes on, the parents become increasingly childish, resulting in the evening devolving into chaos.God of Carnage runs from Wednesday, May 14 to Saturday, May 17 at The Powell Theatre. Tickets available from The Outback or online at wyetheatre.co.uk.
