THE award-winning journalist, broadcaster and food critic Jay Rayner will be at Ludlow Assembly Rooms on Thursday, February 13 with his funny, insightful and provocative show A Greedy Man in a Hungry World.

Jay, son of the famous agony aunt Claire Rayner, will combine hard-nosed reporting with witty memoir to take you on a journey across the world’s edible landscape. Along the way, he will debunk a supermarket trolley full of myths: from the mantra that local food is best, to the belief that organic produce is ethical. The star of The One Show and Masterchef aims to change the way you shop, cook and eat forever – and give you a few belly laughs along the way!

After the show, Jay will answer questions from the audience, in what is sure to be a lively and stimulating debate. And at the end of the evening, Jay will be signing copies of his book A Greedy Man in a Hungry World.

“We are delighted to welcome Jay to the Assembly Rooms," says LAR's marketing and publicity office, Tony Johnston. "Food is an issue that is close to the heart of many people in and around Ludlow and Jay’s show is going to be a real talking point. I’m sure they’ll also love having the chance to grill Jay and put him on the spot afterwards!”
