GWATKIN Cider present their fifth Down on the Farm festival from August 12 to 14.

The festival started as a one day event in 2012 and then expanded to a three day festival in 2013. Gwatkin Cider's owner, Denis Gwatkin, has played in several bands since his teenage years with most of the practice sessions and performances being at the farm, so it felt like a natural progression to get other bands to play on his farm as well, leading in turn to the festival. His aim is to give local up and coming bands the opportunity to play live on stage alongside more established names on the live music circuit.

With that in mind for the 2014 festival he managed to book the superbly entertaining Dr & The Medics and also the fantastic tribute act Hats off to Led Zeppelin as headline acts. Headlining bands last year were the Awesome Guns nā€™ Roses Experience and the Fantastic Bootleg Blondie, with the Rock ā€™nā€™ Roll Undertakers Band returning to head up the opening night.

This year sees the return of Dr and the Medics as Saturday night headliners with the Sons of Clogger topping the Friday night bill and to finish the weekend off on Sunday night will be the fuel injected rockabilly band The Delray Rockets, with many more bands taking to the stage over the weekend.

Followings its success in previous years The Hereford Live Acoustic Stage returns to showcase a variety of acoustic bands and solo artists.
