THERE'S nothing quite like letting loose on the dance floor, letting your feelings pirouette out of you. This year's showcase by Hereford Academy of Dance explores the range of emotions that can be expressed through dance - so whether you're happy or sad, lonely or in love, eMOTION is an exhilarating physical expression of all aspects of our emotional lives.

Every member of the school is included onstage so with a cast of 400 (with ages ranging from three to 60 years), nearly 2000 costumes, and a diverse range of music, it is a colourful extravaganza with something for everyone. Dancers show off their skills in ballet, modern theatre, jazz, tap and street along with performances from the school's performance company and adult tap dancers. Included for the first time are the new male tap group.

Also the junior street dance group are dancing their own personal tribute to their classmate Alfie Hyett, who tragically lost his life in March, entitled Heroic.

The school awards presentation will take place after the final performance on the Saturday evening, included in which are the Little Princess Award for displaying the joy of dance and the Bee Hart Scholarship which gives the recipient a years free dance tuition, kindly presented by Micky and Andy Hart in memory of their daughter Bianca.

The principal, Sarah-Jane Matthews, is incredibly proud of this year's students "the dance is of the highest standard we have ever produced and everyone is having so much fun".

eMOTION will be on at the Courtyard from July 12-16 and tickets are available at courtyard.org.uk or 01432 340555.
