MORE than 200 of Herefordshire’s young musicians will take to The Courtyard stage on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 26 and 27 in two special spring concerts from Herefordshire Music Service.

Herefordshire Music Service’s bands and string ensembles are made up of young people from all over the county between the ages of six and 18, who will be performing at The Courtyard for the first time.

On Tuesday, the Junior, Intermediate and Youth Concert Bands and the Brass Band will perform a variety of music, both contemporary and classical. Young people between the ages of nine and 18 will take to the stage playing the full range of woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.

The following evening, it will be the turn of the String Ensembles and the Ukulele Ensemble. The youngest players, from the age of seven, will perform in the two starter ensembles. The more experienced string players will perform within the Junior and Intermediate Strings, playing a mixture of classical and contemporary music.

Both concerts start at 7pm. To book, call the box office on 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk
