THE beautiful sounds of flute and harp will fill the lovely Lion Ballroom in Leominster on Sunday afternoon, February 7.
The concert will be given by flautist Sarah Newbold and harpist Katherine Thomas. Besides playing as a duo under the name Dragonfly, they each have successful orchestral and solo careers.
Their varied programme will include much French music of the mid and late Romantic period, a short piece by Haydn, an arrangement by Chopin and Hamilton Harty’s atmospheric ‘In Ireland’. This promises to be an uplifting and inspiring afternoon of music when you can hear these beautiful instruments in the hands of superb musicians. The concert is supported by the GEMMA Classical Music Trust.
