BOWJANGLES, a music-comedy sketch group, made up of four classically trained musicians, present On The Box! at the Assembly Rooms in Presteigne on Saturday.

A string quartet with a distinct difference who sing, dance, leap, tumble, juggle and joke – all whilst playing their instruments - Bowjangles create energetic and comic Vaudeville style performances which have that rare appeal to all ages.

On The Box! chronicles a day in the life of a TV that’s been left switched on. This witty and dynamic ‘TV’ stage show sees Bowjangles performing on the BJBC (Bowjangles Broadcasting Corporation). The four energetic musicians parody a variety of familiar programmes with exhilarating dance routines and rousing songs. Meet characters such as the Despairing Newsreader, the Operatic Adulterers and the Fleet Footed Strictly Contestants. Their cherished violins, viola and cello serve as tennis rackets, fencing swords or accessories to a full Charleston routine. Bowjangles keep the action roaring and the music soaring!

"The idea is impressively original and the music wonderful. The whole thing is just so stylish" said the Edinburgh Fringe Review
