CHRISTMAS comes but once a year ... but for local tree surgeon Clive Williams and plumber Malcolm Hughes 2014's festive season has never stopped. For in response to the enthusiastic reception of last year's Yuletide EP they decided to fulfil a life long dream and create and release a full album of self penned Christmas songs entitled '12 Songs For Christmas'

Songwriter Clive and singer Mal are no strangers to hard work or the long haul having spent many years in their spare time slowly perfecting their craft. “We're definitely tortoises not hares” says Clive “but our steady dedication

seems to be paying off. We may not be household names but people seem to appreciate our friendly localness and honesty.

“We had known of each other through work for years though unaware of our mutual love of music. Then one Christmas, after having been playing together for a while I thought that we could maybe have a go at a few festive songs of our own. Adding our own fresh approach and hopefully shining some new light on an old tradition.

We've tried to highlight the true spirit of Christmas and also bring a bit of joy and pleasure into people's lives at this time of year.

“It may have taken a long time to be able to make the album we've always wanted but we're pleased and hope others will be too with the results. After all as the tortoise proved to the hare, being in a hurry isn't always the way to win

the race."

Clive and Malcolm will be selling and performing their CD 12 Songs For Christmas at various Christmas fairs around the county. It will also be available from selected shops or by emailing them at cliveandmal@gmail.com Or through cliveand mal on Facebook.
