A STUNNING and unusual evening of haunting music is promised as La Qualia perform at the Assembly Rooms in Presteigne on Saturday.
La Qualia is a collaboration between London-based Tom Colvin and Tina Grace, drawing on their diverse musical influences. Choral vocal harmonies and acoustic guitar form the backbone of the songs. Their sound contains Sergio Leone refrains and a sense of Celtic nostalgia, laced with laid back samba, with a restlessness and yearning permeating their work.
The evening will features guest appearances by Little Rumba's Hugh Colvin (Tom's dad) and Jo Colvin (brother).
